About ACS Financial & FinTech

From its roots, Automobile Consumer Services, Inc. (ACS) pioneered innovative ways to make car buying a better experience for retail and commercial consumers. ACS began transforming digital buying as a Car Buyers' Agent in the 80s, using dial-up bulletin boards and CompuServe to reach early online shoppers.

ACS entered the direct-to-consumer leasing and financing space in the early 2000's, and was one of the first to offer online auto leasing (the beginning of Automotive Digital Retailing), through its flagship website, LeaseCompare.com. ACS powered the eBay Motors Finance Portal in 2008, created the first and only Shop-by-Payment technology for dealer websites in 2010 - adding lenders/credit unions in 2018, and sold truPayments/DriveItNow to PureCars in 2021.

ACS holds a dealer and auto leasing licenses to facilitate lending technologies nationwide. In addition to ACS Financial's in-house lending arm, additional funding sources are available for consumer financing and leasing including banks, credit unions, and private equity sources.

ACS has been featured in many national publications including Forbes, Consumer Digest, Kiplinger, Business Week, and Money magazine. CEO Tarry Shebesta has been a featured guest on Fox Business News, CNBC, and Bloomberg TV, and has presented at numerous industry conferences.

ACS is currently involved in many consumer and vendor FinTech initiatives, as an innovator, investor, advisor and strategist.
